The perilous summit

Craig Cwm Amarch (Crag Cum Am-ark - Amarch Valley Rock) names the headwall of Cwm Amarch on Cadair Idris. It forms a stunning backdrop to the glacial corrie of Llyn Cau, supposed home to a Welsh water dragon - the Afanc.

It has a remarkable, near vertical view down to Llyn Cau thanks to the precipitous crags that form its eastern face.
