The summit is in there somewhere....
What Wainwright said:

"Latrigg is to Keswick what Loughrigg Fell is to Ambleside and Helm Crag to Grasmere: a small hill, an excellent viewpoint, a great favourite of local folk and visitors. Latrigg is pastoral and parkland in character, not rough fell, and the summit is the easiest of promenades so that this is not a climb calling for old clothes and heavy boots."

One of the lowest fells in the Lake District, Latrigg is nevertheless a popular fell as a result of its proximity to Keswick and a well surfaced, limited mobility path that leads to, and around, the summit.

Latrigg is the most southerly top of the Northern Fells as a whole and takes the form of a rounded hump at the terminus of a long descending ridge. It would be unremarkable if not for its location overlooking Keswick, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake.

The summit is unmarked and is sited on the muddy path to the south of the fell. The views of Keswick, Derwentwater and Borrowdale belie the fells small stature; "a panorama of crowded detail, all of it of great beauty" as described by Wainwright.
